About Me

I am a 2014 Bowdoin College graduate with a degree in Mathematics. While in college, I directed an afterschool SAT prep program, tutored high school students in Algebra II and college students in Intergral Calculus, and spent two summers working as a teaching intern at a summer school. I plan to pursue teaching certification for high school math. I am patient, flexible, and enjoy discovering which approaches work most effectively for each individual I work with. Every student is different, and as a result, every student learns differently as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of my previous experiences working with high school students, particularly in an academic setting. Teaching and tutoring math allows me to share my interests with students while quelling their anxieties and building their self-confidence. My friendly, laid-back demeanor and flexibility helps me to connect with my students and adapt my tutoring style to best fit their needs.
