Tutoring review by Mustafa in El Cajon, CA
The student and I studied for her upcoming chemistry test which is on limiting reagents, volumes of gases, and percent yield. We worked through several different types of problems, converting between moles, grams, molecules, atoms, and liters. By the end of the lesson, the student was solving the problems by herself.

Tutoring review by Ingrid in El Cajon, CA
Worked with the student on solving Algebra inequalities. This included simplifying the equations and then graphing the answer. She also had to write an equation given a written description. With practice, she did really well and was able to grasp working the equations and solving them.

Tutoring review by Jared in El Cajon, CA
The student and I covered spelling, reading comprehension, multiplication, and division. I had to skip him a few weeks ahead because he was doing so well on the spelling. We are getting him on some more difficult words and he is still doing well, but I think I have him at an appropriate level for his comprehension. His reading comprehension is also improved. The Archie book is really helping him see what he is reading and is, in turn, helping him understand better. He is even doing better with inferences and answering the WWWWWH questions. It also helps him distinguish the different characters in the story. I'm going to slowly wean him off of this book and on to books with no visuals. His multiplication is going fine, and he's getting quicker with is multiplication. His division still needs improvement though. I think it's more of a challenge for him to think backwards from multiplication.

Tutoring review by Ben in El Cajon, CA
We worked to review and reinforce some of the process we'd been working on in past sessions. The student is plugging in values, testing answer choices, and even exercising some FOIL operations she's only recently become introduced to. She's really made some solid improvements in quantitative reasoning, formerly her weakest section, and brought her potential placement up to the 75th quartile!

Tutoring review by Padraic in El Cajon, CA
During our session the student and I reviewed the material of her recent geometry test. We worked through various problems to cover topics such as geometric mean, trigonometric ratios, finding the unknown side or angle of a triangle using trigonometry, and the Pythagorean theorem. She did a great job working through each of the problems to arrive at the correct answer, and she felt comfortable with how she answered many of the questions on her test after working through the material the correct way. We finished with a multiple choice question regarding an isosceles triangle and she applied everything we reviewed very well, setting up the problem to find the correct answer choice.

Tutoring review by Abel in El Cajon, CA
We mostly covered physics, Atwood machines, forces on weights on incline, and falling problems with time, distance, and acceleration calculations. The student seemed to understand. Then we covered some geometry, including inscribed angles in triangles and measure of arcs.
