I'm a passionate Italian and French tutor.For my formal education, I started my French language studies (grammar and literature) in the 6th grade and continued on through my college years. I also studied Latin for five years to supplement my skills in both the Italian and French languages.I have a business economics degree from Bocconi University in Milan and spent a semester studying at the HEC Grand Ecole, Paris. Having lived in France, I understand the culture and nuances that are a very important part of learning a new language.For some, learning a new language can be a bit intimidating, so my lessons are designed to be fun and engaging. We will talk about your goals and objectives, assess your current skill level, and work at a pace that is challenging yet comfortable so that you can progress confidently. We can work hard on grammar and conversation, but we can also discover the French and Italian cultures through cuisine, songs, movies, poetry... you will love it! My students currently range in age from 9 to 70 years old with beginner to intermediate ability levels. Lessons are tailored to your personal needs whether you are a business professional, planning a trip, a student of any age, or are just looking to stimulate your mind by learning something new.

I'm a current third year biology major on the pre-med track at the University of Chicago. I attended Stuyvesant High School in New York City and am incredibly excited to be a part of Varsity Tutors!As a current student who grew up attending multiple test prep institutions, I've had the privilege of receiving outside help and assistance on my schoolwork subjects. Now, I'm ready to continue my academic journey by spreading my knowledge to students who are in the same position that I was in just a few years ago.

I am a tutor, a theater director/writer, and a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I got my B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies. I have experience as a writing tutor working with students in elementary school through high school and as an assistant teacher in elementary schools and kids' theater classes. I also have experience critiquing and offering feedback on plays by college students and professional playwrights.In both academic and artistic settings, I love language almost as much as I love learning about the people I'm working with and fine-tuning the ways I work with them. My goal is always to make the process as productive and supportive as possible. I see tutoring as collaboration between tutor and student. I like to start by helping a student discover what they find interesting about an assignment and then what they find most challenging. I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. I was a national topper in Physics at High School level, and am an expert in STEM subjects, including Math, Chemistry and Physics. I worked in the telecommunications industry for 30 years and am now retired. I have also taught math and science subjects at the college-level in New Jersey. I am focused on tutoring high school and middle school students in Maths, Chemistry and Physics, ACT/SAT Test Prep at all levels in High School.

I have attained my radiologic technology degree in 2008 from south suburban college in Illinois. I started working in the radiology field before graduating due to my work ethics as a student. I worked for one company for 15 years now and have extensive knowledge on x-ray and Ct modalities. I have been a manager with my company for 5 years.I have taught many students and have cross-trained many technologists in the cat scan fields.I treat them as if I was the student, putting myself in their shoes.I explain to them in simple terms and that is what they like about me.I can relate to many students because I myself was a student once in this field.I am looking forward to help Anyone in the radiology field.
