I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

To me, physics is the coolest thing ever. I know you may not agree and honestly, I don't blame you. Physics can be pretty tough, and a teacher that doesn't feel like a good match can make matters all the worse, and not to mention boring. But the right teacher can really make a difference. I've been fortunate to have some great teachers, and something they all seem to have in common is a genuine passion for physics. And not only did they love physics, but they also loved sharing physics with others. I love physics too, and back when I started my college career I really wanted to get good at it. At the time I figured what better way to do that than to help others with physics. So I signed up as a tutor in the physics help center, and thus began my life in trying to help people navigate the world of physics. It turns out things worked out pretty well. I got to learn the subject I loved even better, and in the process I also got to help people work out their issues with physics.

Aside from my experience as a tutor, I also work as a mechanical engineer. I have worked in the aerospace and railcar industries. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, and a B.S. in Physics from Adelphi University. I have taught college level physics, and have tutored students at both high school and college levels.

I've helped a lot of students over the years, which is something I've very much enjoyed. I can't promise you'll love physics as much as I do, but I promise to help you see that it is pretty cool and super useful. And by the way, it turns out that you have to be pretty decent in math to manage physics, so I tutor in that as well!
