Skull Science
Presented by the South Carolina Aquarium
with your expert instructor, Susan McLaughlin
About the South Carolina Aquarium
The South Carolina Aquarium is leading the way to connect people with water, wildlife and wild places. From its more than 5,000 animals to its award-winning education team, from the Sea Turtle Care Center to its conservation programs protecting local species, you’ll be struck with awe and inspiration as you journey through exhibits representing the mountains to the sea of South Carolina.
About the class
Skulls make great Halloween decorations this time of year, but for scientists looking at and analyzing skulls is a year-round activity that’s far from scary! Skulls can tell us a lot about animals, and in this class you’ll use your investigative skills to determine more about the diets and habits of various animal species. Plus meet a special, surprise live animal guest (who might just inspire your Halloween costume this year!).
