I am a graduate from Georgia State University who has always been interested in teaching. As a result, I have studied Applied Linguistics, a field that teaches you how languages work from the inside out and how to apply that knowledge to teaching ESL. My studies have naturally focused on English grammar, writing and reading, and it has helped me learn useful teaching techniques that I apply to tutoring.
I have experience tutoring many different kinds of people, from children needing to improve their reading to adults working on their writing skills and everything in-between. I have also tutored math, ESL, and piano. I make it my priority to find each student's unique area of difficulty, and I personally cater my lessons towards help them improve in those areas.
I am interested in tutoring because I have always enjoyed teaching others new things. I also truly find joy in helping my students acquire a skill which can be beneficial in their everyday lives. I know how necessary it is to be kind, understanding and patient towards anyone trying to learn something for the first time. Therefore, I am dedicated to adapting to your learning needs and growing with you in order to provide the best experience possible.
