About Me

I am a recent medical school graduate. I am honored to have the privilege to make life changing decisions, but I decided to take a year off before starting residency. I have always challenged myself to the highest degree, and I would help your child do so if given the opportunity. One of my strengths in tutoring includes my ability to work with special needs children. I have had the opportunity to work with both ADHD and Autistic children during my college years, and I have gained the expertise to effectively produce positive results in a behavioral and academic setting. In such cases, I believe repetition is the strongest technique in which one can produce results. Patience and repetition in general are effective in helping children that have special needs. I am originally from India, but I grew up Japan. I had the privilege to obtain a world-class education in both of these countries. I am highly adaptable to all forms of environment. I majored in biology and psychology at Houston Baptist University before attending medical school. I am currently in pursuit of a MBA in health care administration. The degrees helped gain expertise on various aspects of the academic spectrum. I am confident in my ability to teach both math and science. I am a very systematic and methodical person. These traits help communicate mathematics in clear and concise manner. Overall I am patient, persistent, and assertive. These aspects of my personality have been effective in my prior teaching experiences. I have always dedicated time to tutor younger classmates during medical school which has helped me tremendously in retaining the material. After I have taught a particular subject matter, if my student can teach the subject matter effectively back to me, then the material is better retained. I have passed multiple strenuous nine hour United States medical licensing exams, and I believe I have the skills one needs to help your child improve in his or her test taking skills. I would be honored to work with your child and improve his or her overall academic experience.
