I am half Chinese, half American. Growing up in both countries has afforded me fluency in English and Mandarin, and an organic understanding of both cultures.
Since the age of nine, when I initially taught English to children in a Chinese village, I have continually specialized in teaching English and Chinese language and culture. My students' ages have spanned 3-70 years of age, and I adapt my role to my students' varied needs.
Most importantly, I myself learned Mandarin as a foreign language and genuinely understand the experience of learning the language. From personally undergoing this process, and being equipped now with 14 years experience in teaching, I have cultivated the skill to understand the nuances of my students' learning styles to most efficiently foster their learning.
