I have a B.A. in French from Rowan University, a.k.a. Glassboro State, which included a study abroad in France for a semester. I have also taken additional master level courses and workshops in English as a Second Language at The College of New Jersey. For several years I used my French skills at an Import corporation in New York and have also been involved in a foreign language program for elementary aged children at Bucks County Community College. In addition, I have privately tutored many students in both French and ESL. My experience in ESL is broad, having taught people from all over the world from beginners to adults. I especially enjoy teaching "one on one" because it enables me to fully understand the student's obstacles thus allowing me to customize the lessons. I feel it is very important to create a relaxed environment for an ideal learning situation, so I always put some fun into each lesson. I feel the study of a second language, whether it is French or English, is very beneficial to students on many levels and can open up more doors than one can imagine.
My hobbies include playing guitar, French club and boating.
