About Me

All students can learn, and I enjoy helping them do so successfully! The best part of teaching is that moment when a student sees their progress and realizes all their dreams really can come true. I've been working with students with special learning needs for over 30 years in Reading, Writing, and Math. I enjoy teaching all these subjects, each for different reasons. Reading and writing go together and for me bring real joy. I struggled with math myself as a kid, so I've gathered lots of resources to help students figure out math in whatever ways connect best with their brains. All learning is interesting to me, and I like sharing my passion for learning with others. I got my Bachelor's degree in Nursing, then I got my Master's in Elementary Education, and a few years later I added permanent certification in teaching students with learning handicaps. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, playing board games, and watching videos from various sources.
