About Me

I graduated from Universidad Tcnica Particular de Loja in Ecuador with a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences and later earned a Master's degree in Arts from New Jersey City University, specializing in third-language acquisition for multilingual students. My teaching career began in 1986 at the high school level in Ecuador, and in 1998 I moved to the United States, where I have taught Spanish in New Jersey across grades K-12. Currently, I teach Spanish levels 2, 3, 4, and AP Spanish Language & Culture at the high school level, guiding students in language proficiency while deepening their appreciation for Hispanic culture. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to supporting diverse learners, including students with learning difficulties, and I also bring experience working in speech therapy with children ages one to three. I am a strong advocate for education, committed to transmitting knowledge of lasting value that benefits students, their families, and their communities. In addition to my classroom work, I mentor aspiring educators who wish to follow the path of teaching.
