I am a recent cum laude graduate of Claremont McKenna College in Southern California, and this summer I will begin studying at Columbia University Teachers College in New York where I am working to earn my master's in Education for 7-12 English. I'm personally and professional passionate about. I was a comparative literature/religious studies dual major in college so I'm very familiar with history, writing, and literature analysis.

I am passionate about these subjects because I love thinking about arguments. My tutoring philosophy is to focus on individual problems or assignments and work through examples with students; I do not lecture unless necessary. I find that students are more productive and successful when actively engaged. I strive to challenge my students while being patient and kind. Outside of academics, I am interested in cooking, travel, and skiing.

I am a graduate of the University of Chicago, where I received an MA in the humanities with a focus on on disability studies. For my undergraduate education, I attended Claremont Mckenna College where I focused on English Literature.

I'm not studying or tutoring science, I enjoy hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Analytics out of Georgia Tech.

I am good at breaking down complex concepts into simple, bite-sized chunks. I believe there are a lot of ways to learn the same concepts, and I enjoy making each lesson relevant to the person I am teaching. I also like to laugh and have a good time.
