I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University, having completed a Master of Arts in English Literary & Textual Studies. I have the experience of teaching students with diverse backgrounds. I have taught composition, writing, ESOL, and ESP courses to students ranging from young learners to undergrads. I am committed to fostering a diverse environment where everyone feels included and respected. Although I have experienced the perils of being a multilingual speaker, I try to be intentional in my efforts to uphold student autonomy. These values are not only a part of my assignment sheets and grading rubrics, but they also guide my classroom discussions. A classroom, I believe, is an enabling space where students must feel heard, acknowledged, and valued.

I am a retired elementary teacher. I also currently work as a career coach/recruiter for adults looking to find a new opportunity in the restaurant/hospitality industry. I am motivated to help others to reach their full potential. Last year after helping my grandchildren survive the sudden shift to virtual schooling, I knew I had to do what I could to also help other children and their parents. I attended a small private liberal arts college for my undergrad which allowed me the opportunity to explore multiple fields of interest. I have a BA with majors in history and political science in minors in Asian studies and international politics. I took a year off of school to try my hand at working. During that year I worked at a living history site, where I educated visitors of all ages on early American history. I went back to grad school for a Master's in Public Administration with a specialty in Organizational Development. I worked full time while putting myself through grad school. It's important to gain life experience as well as educational experience. Both make you a well-rounded lifelong learner. I continued to work as a nontraditional educator in parks in recreation. Once I earned by MPA, I went back to school (again while working full time) and earned my Doctorate in Education. I love helping students of all ages learn about history, earth science, political philosophy and literature. In my free time I coach softball and soccer--two sports I played at varsity level in college.

I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Miami University (Ohio). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Science in Psychology and Sociology from Bowling Green State University. I received my Master's in Teaching Social Studies Integration from Miami University in Ohio. This year is my 13th year in education in Allen, Texas. I have taught on-level psychology, on-level government, on-level United States history, Advanced Placement Psychology, and International Baccalaureate Psychology. I am passionate about psychology and it's what I find the most joy and purpose in teaching. My A.P. exam scores are consistently above the Texas state and national average. My classroom sizes have increased each year that I have been teaching the program. I.B. Psychology is a new subject for me and I recently completed my training in Lake Tahoe, California. I have been an AP reader for Psychology for four years so I am well versed in how to score high for the AP exam.

I believe ALL children deserve a right to have an education that is catered to them. I want to see all children succeed in learning. By creating a safe and fun learning environment students are able to one be comfortable with learning but also to enjoy learning. By creating fun and creative ways for students to learn you are able to achieve this. I have always loved working with students and want to see them love learning.

Currently, I am an English as a Second Language teacher. I have taught adults and students in K12. I am very passionate about quality education for all students.During my free time, I like to watch Netflix or TED Talks. I also like to volunteer with local organizations and thrift shop.

I am passionate about both learning and teaching. I believe in a positive, encouraging, and supportive teaching style. I have a Bachelors of Science, a Masters of Science in Computer Science, and am currently finishing my PhD. I've taught at the university level and worked as a professional trainer.Walt Disney once said, "Laughter is no enemy to learning" and I believe in that maxim. Learning should be fun and engaging, tied to real-world examples and explanations that not only illuminate the concept but also show the student why the information is important.I teach a variety of STEM topics, mostly focused around Computer Science, and I specifically focus on GRE preparation. There are a lot of tips and tricks you can use to maximize your score, as well as core concepts that can help you solve problems more easily. I have extensive experience with the GRE and with helping people get into grad school.

I believe in teaching in a way that students learn best. I am willing to adapt how and what is taught based on the needs of the student.I have taught for 13 years and have focused mainly on Science in grades 7 and 8, but have also taught and English Language Arts in grades 7 and 8.I enjoy teaching about Life Science and Earth Science. Anything from Layers of the Earth, Fossils, Geologic Time Scale to Cells and DNA.I also enjoy writing papers and helping to edit papers.I have a Bachelors in Education and a Masters Degree in Assessment and Evaluation.

I want to be a positive light for all students, especially those who find school to be difficult. Many times a student has experienced challenges with reading which causes them to not enjoy it as much mostly because it has been hard for them.I am passionate about literacy and I make it my goal to help the students gain a positive reading experience that will foster a love for literacy and learning. Hopefully this positive light will carry over into their future.My experience in working with students is with kindergarten through eighth graders in the school setting. I have been a 5th grade classroom teacher for 10 years, then I served as a 7th and 8th grade teacher for 3 years. More recently I spent 8 years as a Reading Specialist for grades K-4 before becoming a Principal for a K-3 elementary school.I earned my Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, then I earned my first Master's degree in Reading Instruction from Aurora University. Recently, I earned a second Master's degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.My favorite subjects to tutor are Reading, Writing and English Language Arts. These are my favorite because I am an avid reader and I find enjoyment in escaping to the setting of the book as a character from the story.In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and new granddaughter. I also love family vacations by the water, swimming, biking, walking, and reading.

As a dedicated Secondary Education (Spanish) major at Bowling Green State University and a native Spanish speaker from Spain, I am passionate about guiding students to success on their language-learning journey. With over four years of tutoring experience, I have supported diverse learners, including Latin American and Ukrainian students in ESL and Conversational English. I have also completed a field placement where I taught Spanish to elementary students, further strengthening my skills in designing age-appropriate and engaging lessons. My teaching style centers on creating an interactive, supportive environment that encourages students to grow in confidence and communicative competence. I incorporate meaningful activities, conversation practice, and reflective learning to help students meet their academic goals and align with today's World Language standards. I am excited to tutor Spanish at all levels, from beginner to advanced, as well as support younger learners in elementary Spanish. I am passionate about student learning in the fields of English writing, literature, and theatre. I hold a dual BA in English literature and theatre from Bowling Green State University and am working towards my MA in English at the University of Maine. Always aiming to meet students where they are at, I do my best to scaffold new information and foster good lines of communication with those I am teaching. I believe that successful engagement with literature and written communication (and the critical thinking skills that accompany them) are vital to student success across disciplines and fields. Additionally, I have nearly 15 years of theatre experience, having been actor, crew, stage manager, director, and nearly everything in between! Though I currently teach university freshmen, I also have experience with K-12, and love working with students of all ages! As a musician, educating the next generation of performers has always been important to me. Receiving my undergraduate degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music, I have been around music education for about a decade now. The success of my students is most important to me, as I always want to help them achieve their goals.I have taught not only school children but also collegiate students as well as adult learners. I received my graduate degrees from Bowling Green State University (M.M.) and The Ohio State University (D.M.A.). At both of these institutions, I was a graduate teaching assistant where I taught trumpet (jazz and classical) as well as music appreciation. During my final year at Ohio State, I began adjusting at Bowling Green State University, a position I still hold to this day.
