I am currently completing my medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. I plan to train as an Emergency Medicine physician. I love working with kids, teens and adults to help break down concepts and build up confidence. My favorite subjects are math and physics, and I enjoy sharing tips and strategies for standardized tests like the SAT or MCAT. I focus on building strong foundations and understanding concepts before diving into solving problems. I help my students see that, with a little guidance, they can get themselves to the answer. Together, we can make your least favorite subjects fun! My hobbies include salsa dance and googling pictures of puppies.

I'm a Math and French major at Brown University, and I've been tutoring for over three years. I have worked with young kids taking elementary-level math, middle school students taking Pre-Algebra and Algebra, high school students taking Pre-Calculus and Calculus, college students taking Calculus I/II and Linear Algebra -- and any level in between! Tutoring is one of my favorite activities, because every student I work with teaches me something new about my field. In addition to doing math and writing French poetry, I play the piano, contract bridge, soccer and tennis. These are topics I love discussing in general and I'm always happy to have a chance to help someone else find enjoyment in the subject. I have over three years of experience working with college application consulting with a specialty in BS/MD programs and experience in tutoring with the SAT, having scored a 2400. Since graduation, I joined the Rhode Island Teaching Fellows where I had the opportunity to work towards a teaching certificate and begin my journey in the classroom. I spent the past year teaching 10th and 11th grade students life science and chemistry.

I am a graduate of Brown University, and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Evolutionary Biology. Throughout my undergraduate years, I tutored and mentored children from the local area, refugee children and adult immigrants. While living in Atlanta, I worked with the Fugees Family program tutoring and mentoring refugees, as well as worked with high school students from the Atlanta area. While I enjoy tutoring many subjects, I am most passionate about Classical and English Literature and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. In my experiences assisting students with tough concepts, I always try to cater to the student's best learning style and work to make the material approachable, engaging and relevant.
