I am a graduate of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic & Online Design, and I earned honors in Public Speaking with a focus on Business Communication & Marketing. Since graduation, I have honed my skills as a sales professional as well as bolstering my own marketability as a teacher & proctor of exams. I've been tutoring online for about 3 years and have worked with ESL students as well as with professionals looking to bolster their public speaking, business writing, or English language skills. Real Estate has been my career since 2016 and I've been successful as Real Estate Licensee in Colorado & Arizona and I truly enjoy helping others with their own new careers by tutoring for the Real Estate exam and offering guidance in how to be Real Estate Business Professional & not just a business card. In my experience helping new agents prepare for success is more than rewarding - it's exciting! And the first success is passing the exam. I am a firm proponent of education that includes information and lessons on how to be a professional, believing it to be absolutely necessary for a successful career; and I try to impart this to all of the folks that I help prep for the exam. I love to meet new people and I'm an avid talker, but what I love to do most when time allows is to cook. I enjoy taking recipes from old cookbooks and turning them into gluten & dairy free delights for my family.

My name is Kyle Lanier and I am passionate about helping students succeed in music! I have been teaching for 20 years and have experience in all levels K-12, was a band director for 14 years and now teach elementary music in an International Baccalaureate school. I received my Bachelor of Music degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and a Master of Arts in Human Services Administration from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. I am comfortable tutoring students in all types of music subjects from theory to history and even can help with instrument or voice lessons as needed. While I love all types of music, I truly love teaching trumpet lessons because I am a professional trumpet player and perform with the local symphony in my community, and freelance as needed. My teaching philosophy is that of an encourager and facilitator in student learning. I approach learning as a coach, coming alongside the student to assist them as needed, but ultimately to cheer them on in their pursuit of knowledge. In addition to my love for music, I'm also a technology geek and love exploring various types of technology.

Caring and helping others was the reason I became a nurse. There is nothing more satisfying than having a family member or the patient himself saying thank you you made a difference. On the day they leave and they are smiling and so confident that they can move on after their hospitalization is the day I know I have done a good job in taking care of my patientAlso as an Acute Nurse Practitioner in a hospital setting I cared for Critical care patients and patients on a MedSurg floor. I have cared for these types of patients for over 10 years and still very confident in my teaching skill to students

Greetings! I am an attorney / Sociology instructor who has a passion and love for both subjects. I attained my M.S. in Applied Sociology in 2006 and began teaching at Collin College the same year. I just finished my 15th year with the school as a part-time adjunct professor and I look forward to year 16! I went to law school later than the traditional student, but I was in a job that brought me no joy or sense of accomplishment, and I wanted something more fulfilling than a paycheck, so I went to law school at age 37. I was fortunate to score well on the LSAT and get a partial scholarship to SMU Dedman School of Law. I received my J.D. two months after my 40th birthday and have been practicing for 8 years. It has been the best 8 years of my life! I currently have my own practice that focuses on CPS, mental health, and juvenile cases, but also am of counsel with a mid-size law firm as their Estate Planning and Probate attorney. I really enjoy staying busy and working with new attorneys and mentoring law school students. I think tutoring is a perfect extension of all the things I love about my job and life and I hope I can help students who are struggling with the materials so they can be successful in their academic and professional lives. I look forward to working with you!

NPTE - National Physical Therapy Examination Tutor • +1 Subjects
I graduated in May of 2020 from Creighton with my DPT. Prior to physical therapy school, I attended Northwest Missouri State University and received my B.S. in both biology and psychology. I've always loved helping others, thus leading me into the field of physical therapy! Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies, I've always found joy in helping other students as it benefits us both. My tutoring style definitely focuses on the reasoning of how you got to the answer rather than if you got the right answer. Many of my exercises are very situation based (as in "a patient with x,y,and z walks into your clinic...what do you do?").

Conversational Spanish Tutor • +23 Subjects
I have been a teacher for the past 10 years, teaching all core subjects to students of all ages. I have worked with students as young as kindergarten and as old as high school seniors, through my regular classroom and summer school jobs. I currently teach 6th grade (for the past 5 years), in a typical elementary style self-contained classroom, meaning I teach all subjects, and I absolutely love it! I enjoy working with people and helping them develop their interests and skill sets, as personal growth is one of my most important values. I have both my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and master's degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. As an undergrad I also minored in Literacy and Spanish, the latter of which allowed for a wonderful summer study abroad experience in Guatemala. I teach all subjects but enjoy tutoring math the most, since when I was a young student I struggled in math. Through consistent effort and practice I began to improve in my math abilities and I want to impart that same feeling of success to my students. I learned many strategies to help math make sense to me and I now introduce a variety of methods to help my students make sense of solving problems. I also enjoy tutoring for the PRAXIS exam and helping to develop test taking skills; my students consistently show meaningful growth on our state standardized testing. My Praxis Core Reading score: 181, Praxis Core Writing: 180, Praxis Core Math: 184. I am very eager to engage in new experiences, especially ones that allow me to tap into my creative side. I feel as though I am the most energized, best version of myself, when I am writing (songs, raps, poems, plays), singing, rapping, acting, directing, dancing, painting, and anything else that allows me to express myself while having a good laugh along the way.
