Hello! I am a certified math teacher for grades 5-12. This is my 27th year of teaching! I love to teach and help students get a better understanding of mathematics. Everyone has a little different learning style and I will try my best to work with you to gain more confidence in math. I have taken a break from the traditional classroom this school year, but I do miss the students and teaching - so I can not wait to work with you!

I am an educational professional with over 20 years of educational experience. I have experience teaching and tutoring all subjects in elementary as well as middle school math, Algebra, and Geometry. I am a graduate of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and Western Kentucky University. From these two post-secondary education institutions, I hold an A.A.S in Business Technology Management Option, a B.S. in General Management, and a M.A.E. in Learning and Behavior Disorders Grades K-12. I've received additional training through the University of Louisville to become an Autism specialist. I went into Special Education because I have a passion for helping others and desire to help everyone reach their maximum potential. Since 2011, I have worked with high school students with a variety of disabilities in the resource and co-taught settings in a wide variety of subject areas. My favorite subjects include English, US History, and Arts & Humanities. I also enjoy helping students improve executive functioning and social skills. When working with students, I like to find the learning style that works best for them to help them succeed. Outside of teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. Being a wife and mother are my greatest accomplishments. I also enjoy participating in theatre on and off stage, writing, baking, sewing, painting, and playing video games. I'm an analytical chemist that has experience primarily tutoring for college general chemistry. I also love teaching about math and science in general. I have a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University. I also have a Masters of Science in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in analytical chemistry.

I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University where I received a BA in History and a graduate of Mercer University where I received a Master of Arts degree in teaching. Since graduation, I taught history and english at a private christian academy on a 5th, 6th, and 11th, grade level. I am most interested and passionate about history, especially at the high school level where I can help students prepare for assessments but also think critically about the world around them. I am all for education, knowing that it can help students develop their understanding of the world and how they fit into it. In my spare time, I play violin and guitar, worship at my local church, and spend time with family.

I received my BA in biology with a concentration in environmental and evolutionary biology from Thomas More College, and my MS in biology from Western Kentucky University. While working on my masters degree, I spent 3 semesters teaching undergraduate general biology and zoology labs. While I am interested in tutoring a variety of subjects, science and biology specifically are my real passions. My scientific education has helped me grow immeasurably and I would love to help others have the same experience. I know first hand that formal education is not always the most effective way of learning. Texas has been my home for twenty-five years. I was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but moved to Round Rock, Texas after serving in the U.S. Navy. I hold a teaching certificate in Texas and Kentucky and have over ten years of experience teaching Spanish and French in both states.I hold a Ph.D. in Spanish and a B.A. in French and Spanish.Learning a language involves many skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Sometimes, grammar may be a stumbling block. Sometimes, it's reading comprehension. Or a student may need extra practice to prepare for AP exams I tailor tutoring sessions to fit the skill level of each student.In addition to Spanish and French, I tutor in Writing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics. I am multi-published (young adult novels, short stories, biographies, and translations). Over the years, I have coached many new writers, both adults and young adults.In my free time (when I'm not writing), I like to swim, read, and play backgammon. I am currently in my fourth year teaching high school Spanish 1 and 2. I graduated with my B.A. in corporate and organizational communication in Spanish from Western Kentucky University in May, 2018. I recently obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching in Spanish from WKU in May, 2021. I tutor Spanish, PRAXIS Spanish, and ACT English and Reading. I am a bioengineering student at UofL and I have a biochemistry degree from WKU.I tutor biology, chemistry, computer science, and ACT prep. I've worked helping tutor students for a couple of years now, and love seeing the moment when a student starts to understand the things they struggled with before. I graduated from Campbellsville university in Math and Chemistry and am soon to graduate Western Kentucky University in Computer Science. The subjects I tutor include Algebra, trigonometry, and a few computer programming courses like python. My method of teaching is to show a student the next step of a subject they're struggling with, and seeing if they can figure things out from there. I like breaking down a problem to try helping a student understand it more easily.
