Kay
- I am a graduate of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and Western Kentucky University.
About Me
From these two post-secondary education institutions, I hold an A.A.S in Business Technology Management Option, a B.S. in General Management, and a M.A.E. in Learning and Behavior Disorders Grades K-12. I've received additional training through the University of Louisville to become an Autism specialist. I went into Special Education because I have a passion for helping others and desire to help everyone reach their maximum potential. Since 2011, I have worked with high school students with a variety of disabilities in the resource and co-taught settings in a wide variety of subject areas. My favorite subjects include English, US History, and Arts & Humanities. I also enjoy helping students improve executive functioning and social skills. When working with students, I like to find the learning style that works best for them to help them succeed. Outside of teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. Being a wife and mother are my greatest accomplishments. I also enjoy participating in theatre on and off stage, writing, baking, sewing, painting, and playing video games. I am looking forward to continuing to help others, while still being available to my family, by being an online tutor!
