I am an Economics and Political Science major at the University of Minnesota. In addition to being a tutor at Grade Potential, I work as a debate coach at Como Park High School in St. Paul. I have previously worked as volunteer tutor at East Side Neighborhood Services and as a Resident Assistant at the University of Michigan Summer Debate Institute. I am a very experienced high school and middle school teacher/tutor, as I have been tutoring or teaching in some capacity since August of 2010. I have always loved making personal connections with students and helping them make daunting studies (such as math or test preparation) more approachable. My favorite part of my job is empowering students to be more independent learners and helping them develop confidence in their abilities.

I am an avid long distance runner and podcast listener. I'm nuts about traveling and hiking and have lived in San Francisco and Alaska within the last year. But mostly, I love learning. I am right now if not for the patient, determined, and creative teachers I had who not only helped me academically but also made me feel safe and connected. I'm happy to help with most subjects up to high school level. I have a particularly strong background in Econ, Government, and Computer Science, but I have worked with students in pretty much everything! I'm also currently employed by two local high schools as a speech and debate coach. I really enjoy working with students and helping them meet their potential.
