About Me

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development. I then attended graduate school at Yale University where I received a Masters of Science in Genetics. In college and graduate school, I have taken many math and science courses and have 4 years of hands-on science lab experience. I love to explain science, especially biology, because I think it is exciting and has many applications in life. My tutoring style is to explain each step so that students learn why they are doing each particular part of the problem, and can apply that knowledge to other problems. I think understanding problems, not memorizing them, aids in learning. I have led many study groups for peers and I coach high school volleyball players in my free time. Additionally, I love baking, sports, and traveling.
