I am a Virginia native who has recently relocated to Cincinnati after a year spent abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. I received my BA in English Literature from Virginia Tech. (GO HOKIES!) I have completed my Master's Degree at the University of Edinburgh. I wrote my dissertation on early modern South Asian and Islamic art. I love to read, write, sketch, and check out museums in my spare time.

I am currently a Full-time student at the Atlantic Acting School. Before I took the leap into performing arts, I was an auditor for 3 years with Grant Thornton where I received my ACA qualification (British equivalent of CPA). It's been a challenging but exciting transition.

I'm currently focussing on raising my toddler after a recent year long teaching appointment at MIT in ceramic analysis. Archaeology is often misunderstood strictly as the study of the human past, but it's more interesting than that: it's the study of human changes over space and time.

I am out of college, I still find that learning and discovering are forces that both fascinate and drive the direction of my life. As a researcher for documentary film, I have made learning about new things the center of my professional life. I am attracted to tutoring for many of the same reasons; I love witnessing the magic of the "click" of understanding that washes over a student who had previously struggled with a difficult concept and find it deeply fulfilling.

I am a huge fan of film, theater, art, music, architecture and literature. I have also been collecting antiques, stamps, comic books, bottles and seashells for over thirty years.
