I have been a business professor and a business tutor for over 10 years. My aim is to discern the individual learning styles of my students and to work with each of them in a manner that addresses his/her individual style. My greatest joy in tutoring is seeing the sparkle in a student's eyes when he/she understands a concept and is able to explain and it back to me.

I recently graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in Math.Math and engineering are two fields that get me excited, and I like to share the excitement with my students. I have been working as math tutor for the past 6 years at a community college. I have taught all levels of math starting from algebra all the way to differential equations and linear algebra.I work well with different types of students as well as adapt to different learning styles. I have helped most student improve their grades and get through with their math classes.In addition to my math skills, I can speak, read, and write Arabic and French. I can certainly help those who need to improve their language skills in both languages.

I am a student at Northeastern University, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science. During my high school career, I took part extensively in the dual enrollment programs of local community colleges, meaning I graduated high school and entered college with an Associates degree. During my high school years, I also prepared extensively for the SAT, giving me extensive knowledge of the test and various test-taking strategies. Due to this knowledge, and personal experience tutoring some of my friends, I primarily tutor for the SAT. I always have my students take diagnostic tests for each section, preferably before we meet, so that I have a good idea of what their strengths and weaknesses are and we can really hone in on their problem areas. In my free time, I enjoy reading various historical tracts, writing passionately, and biking.

For an enthusiastic student, there is always another question to prompt a new level of understanding. That is the outlook that gives me enthusiasm as a mentor. I have enjoyed watching smiles catch on each time that enough guidance leads a student to new realizations, and have been fortunate enough to see this happen regularly as first a US Peace Corps educator in Lesotho and then a substitute teacher/aid in the SAU 24 school district of New Hampshire. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Northeastern University and therefore focus my tutoring on math. I currently offer tutoring for all middle school levels of math up through pre-calculus. My favorite subject to tutor is pre-calculus, particularly when it combines trigonometry with algebra. When meeting with students, I like to begin with a discussion of their goals and then guide them through a series of practice problems that ultimately covers their challenging areas. As you might have guessed from my opening sentence, I like to respond to their questions with questions whenever appropriate. In my downtime, I like to sing, play guitar, and cook recipes new and old.

I love to learn and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for learning with others. Even when you face a subject and course that isn't as easy as others, there can still be ways to enjoy and succeed. I want to help you succeed!I have always been that person my classmates would seek out to explain what the teacher wanted for an assignment or what the professor was talking about in the day's lecture. I am good at helping people understand difficult and dense subjects and have the patience to keep finding ways to share and absorb this information until the person gets it.My favorite phrase from a student is, "ah, now I get it!"

As an Industrial Engineer currently completing a Master of Science in Human Factors Engineering, I bring a strong analytical foundation in mathematics, statistics, engineering, and data science. I am passionate about helping people develop the confidence and problem-solving skills necessary for success. Teaching has been a central part of my life since I was 16 years old. I began by coaching young gymnasts, where I learned the importance of patience and adaptability. I am a college student at Northeastern University Honors College majoring in cell and molecular biology on the premed track. I have four years of private tutoring experience in several subjects for elementary and middle school students. However, I am especially passionate about English and science and I look forward to sharing this passion with my students! I am currently studying Computer Engineering and Computer Science at Northeastern University. I have always loved the sciences, and through my courses in college I have also gained a huge appreciation for math, and especially calculus. I find that teaching concepts I've learned is the best way to truly cement my understanding of it. One of the most satisfying moments for me is when an idea finally "clicks" for a student and they suddenly understand the material much better. I always strive to make that happen. While in high school, I gained a year experience tutoring a classmate in AP Biology. In college I have aced my math courses, including Calculus 1 (differential) and Calculus 2 (integral). I earned very high scores on the ACT by practicing on my own and I consider myself a very good test taker, so I understand the techniques to get high scores on tests.

I am a Northwestern University graduate and received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Robotics. I have an extensive background tutoring middle and high school students in Standardized Tests as well as helping incoming freshmen acclimate to the college environment as a Peer Advisor. Due to my concentration in STEM, I am well-adept in teaching Math and Physics, though am open to tutoring outside those subjects. I believe that working on one's education outside of regular school hours shows a strong initiative to learn, and I want to encourage this drive for learning in my students.
