I am excited to be completing my MA in English and Educational Technology through Morehead State University later this year. I completed my BA in English (History minor) at the University of MichiganDearborn. I earned my AA in Business at Henry Ford Community College. Teaching others how to write and interpret literature is a passion of mine. My goal is to teach composition and creative writing at the undergraduate level. By day, I work at a large health care insurance corporation in the information technology communications department, where I have been accused of being ruthless about grammar and mechanics. I'm frequently sought out by my coworkers to assist with writing and editing. Since I do work in information technology, I'm also asked to train and teach coworkers throughout the company on the various technologies that we use.I'm a proud mother of three teenagers, and oldest sister to six brothers and sisters. I have been tutoring all of them on one subject or another for as long as I can remember. Many people are astounded by my patience and ability to guide both children and adults through difficult subjects. I believe in guiding a student to the answer so that they are able to understand how they got there, rather than just providing the answer. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, spending time outside, collecting teapots, swimming, knitting, and cooking. I am a 2007 graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor's of Music Education. I began my career as a general music and middle school band teacher. I became a stay-at-home mom in 2009 and a homeschool educator in 2012. I have a wide variety of experience teaching my own children all subjects, but also other homeschooled children at our homeschool cooperative. Hello! My name is Marcia (Marsha) Hunt. I am a retired teacher with 39 years in the teaching field. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and music and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. My home state is Kentucky (think Hatfield and McCoy territory). I love my pets, I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I was out of tutoring for a year because of health problems. It is my intention to help each of my students meet exceed their goals in the pursuit of learning Spanish. I will incorporate different teaching techniques and activities to help make learning Spanish as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. I will also share with my students the strategies I have found helpful during my study of Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese, in addition to my experience teaching college level Spanish classes for over 20 years.

I am going in to my seventh year of teaching in the fall. I have a degree from Morehead State University in grades 5-9 Math and History along with my Master's in Literacy from Georgetown College. I have been tutoring for the schools I've taught at during our after school services along with tutoring outside of school at our local library. I have experience working with students who English is not their first language and students who receive Special Education services in school. I have a flexible schedule during the summer months so I can work with you and your student(s) schedule. My current role includes teaching Math to grades 6-8 at the local Alternative school along with helping the upper grades with additional math help. Since elementary school I have loved reading, studying, and exploring anything related to science. Hello! Teaching is sharing knowledge while enjoying the process. I've taught college, high school, and middle school students French, Latin, English, and Christian Studies.
