I completed my BA in English (History minor) at the University of MichiganDearborn. I earned my AA in Business at Henry Ford Community College. Teaching others how to write and interpret literature is a passion of mine. My goal is to teach composition and creative writing at the undergraduate level. By day, I work at a large health care insurance corporation in the information technology communications department, where I have been accused of being ruthless about grammar and mechanics. I'm frequently sought out by my coworkers to assist with writing and editing. Since I do work in information technology, I'm also asked to train and teach coworkers throughout the company on the various technologies that we use. I'm a proud mother of three teenagers, and oldest sister to six brothers and sisters. I have been tutoring all of them on one subject or another for as long as I can remember. Many people are astounded by my patience and ability to guide both children and adults through difficult subjects. I believe in guiding a student to the answer so that they are able to understand how they got there, rather than just providing the answer. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, spending time outside, collecting teapots, swimming, knitting, and cooking. I'm also a technology fan, so I'm always interested in the latest gadget.
