After getting my degree in Mathematics Education at Bethel University I spent three years teaching high school math. I taught Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 including slower paced versions of these courses for students who needed extra resourcing and support in math courses. I loved working with students to create a fun atmosphere where every student could experience success! After three years of teaching a new job opportunity came along at the church we attend that fit better schedule wise for my family. I cannot wait to work with students again!!

I graduated from Bethel University with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature Studies and Writing. Since leaving school, I have volunteered as a tutor with the Hubbs Center helping adult ESL learners better their English and technology skills, and worked as an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow with the Minnesota Internship Center Charter School helping high school students bolster their grades and improve their classroom engagement. When it comes to subject matter, I love helping students dig into texts and improve their writing abilities to better express themselves. Everyone learns differently. My goal when I sit down with is student is to find the ways that work best for them so that they gain the skills and confidence to take on any future challenges. In my spare time, I can most often be found writing, reading a variety of books, playing both tabletop and video games, going yoga, and getting out into nature whenever I can.

I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Life Science Education. I am licensed for 9-12 Life Science education as well as 5-8 Science. I am currently working on my masters of education with an emphasis on natural science and environmental education at Hamline University.I am in my fifth year as a science teacher, and I have many years of tutoring experience. I have tutored math (up to algebra 2), Spanish, and a variety of biology classes at the high school and college level.I really enjoy tutoring algebra since I enjoy the satisfaction of solving problems and recognizing patterns. I am also a big fan of astronomy and earth science as these subjects help us appreciate the vastness of our universe while also helping to make since of its complex processes.I like to use lots of questions and examples in tutoring as I believe learning is most meaningful when it is connected to your own experiences.When not teaching or tutoring, I love to spend time with my two adorable cats, Toph and Iroh, or go for a hike and discover a new trail.

As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in Special Education from Bethel University, I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring and classroom settings, currently teaching in Minnesota. My specialty lies in Elementary School Math, where I employ a hands-on, student-centered approach to foster a genuine love for learning. I love working with students of all ages. It brings me great joy to watch students learn new things and persevere through challenges. I taught dance since I was 12 years old. After graduating from college, I began subbing for school districts and loved teaching education too so I began working on my master's. I subbed in an elementary school and now have my teaching licenses for middle school science and high school chemistry. I graduated with two Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Modern Dance from the University of Oklahoma and am pursuing my Master's in Teaching from Bethel University expected Fall 2026. I tutor middle school science, high school chemistry and dance as well as lower levels of Latin and skills for the ACT. I love science. I have always had a passion for that subject since I was in school so I also look forward to teaching science to my students. My teaching philosophy is anything is possible. The students can get so bogged down by various things and I want them to see the fun in learning new things despite the challenges. I tutor students in different ways to keep them on their toes. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time with my dogs and reading. I love doing various kinds of crafts like sewing, crocheting, and painting.

I graduated from Rush University Medical college in 2021 and am currently an intern at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. I received my Bachelor of Science at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN with a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major and Psychology minor. Growing up in a household of teachers and being a collegiate swimmer, I understand both educational/learning theory, how to personalize lessons to the learner, test taking strategies and time management skills. I have extensive tutoring experience both as an individual tutor and group tutor in math/science and, of course, medicine. I have proven strategies that work for med school work as well as USMLE Step 1 and 2CK that I want to share! In my spare time, I enjoy staying fit through swimming, baking and exploring the many restaurants in Chicago.

With 12 years of experience in early childhood education, I have a proven track record of success in teaching young children, designing lesson plans on my own, collaborating with co-teachers, and understanding diverse cultures. For example, I was a math tutor for 2 years in Shanghai and was loved by many parents. Meanwhile, I obtained a certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) and taught Chinese to adult students as well as elementary students. My passion for teaching and caring for young children led me to be an early childhood educator for the last decade.

I recently graduated from Bethel University with degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Music. During my time in college, I spent quite a bit of time tutoring my peers in group and individual settings, and I look forward to doing more tutoring, particularly in math and physics!
