About Me

I am a former high school math teacher with 9 years classroom teaching experience as well as 3 years of individual tutoring experience. I have a physics teaching degree with a minor in math from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I have a masters in education from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. I have taught in 3 very different school settings throughout my career. I have taught algebra 1, algebra 2, integrated math 1, 2, and 3, IB math, and physics. I believe that all students CAN be successful in math and my goal is to help them realize their learning potential. My favorite thing about teaching/tutoring is when a student finally makes a connection and understands something that they previously were confused about. Seeing the lightbulb turn on and them begin to feel confident in their math abilities is why I do what I do. Hobbies: running, hiking, travel, reading, writing, art, books, music
