I'm Felipe. I am a 3rd year pre-med college student studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I first discovered my passion for teaching a few years ago when I began tutoring ACT and SAT for a tutoring company in my hometown of Frisco. Since then, I have gotten deeply involved with teaching. I have gotten to volunteer for non-profit college organizations at underserved Austin elementary schools to encourage kids to go into STEM, I have gotten to help teach for an introductory biomedical engineering laboratory class at UT, and I have been employed by UT's Engineering Student Services to tutor other students in organic chemistry for well over a year. In that time, I have found that I especially enjoy working with high school and college students. My journey as a student is far from over, so everything I teach is something that I have been right in the middle of learning recently. My favorite subject to tutor is organic chemistry. It is something I've been teaching for a long time, and it's a subject I've gotten to understand well. Other subjects I love to tutor include biology, chemistry, physics, and all math through calculus; my career path has required me to synthesize all these subjects rather well. ACT/SAT test prep is also something I enjoy teaching and is something I have experience with. I have started to offer MCAT tutoring, as it is one of the more rigorous exams I have had success with, and a skill I would love to pass on to other aspiring physicians.

I am currently a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. Throughout high school, I challenged myself by taking all the Biology and Chemistry courses available. Similarly, in college, I have continued to study and acquire knowledge about subjects such as Biology and Chemistry.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.

I'm a writer and editor with a passion for learning that I love to share -- I've been told my tag line should be "let's find out!" I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.

I am working toward an MD at Stanford University. I am happy to help with MCAT, SAT, SAT subject, AP test prep, and general academic subjects. Throughout my 8 years of experiencing tutoring middle school and high school students, I aim to help students raise their test scores through targeting points of weakness and developing the tools to conquer those areas. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running, listening to music, traveling, and reading.

I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.

I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I am really excited to be tutoring for Varsity tutors because I really enjoy helping students with subjects that gave me trouble in school. I hope that my time spent developing strategies to learn and absorb the tough material can help you succeed.

I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.

I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. I'm currently a freshman at Rice University studying Neuroscience and Psychology on the premed track. I am incredibly passionate about learning; my favorite subjects are science and history. I've tutored high school biology, middle school science, English, and math, as well as elementary school English, science, and math in the past. I'd also love to help students be successful at standardized testing such as the SAT and help students by editing essays, whether for a class or for the college application process. I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I'm an undergraduate at Rice University, majoring in Physics and Biochemistry, with a strong passion for research, classical music, and good teaching.
