I like to teach, inspire and help others learn.I have both a bachelors in business administration as well as a bachelors in civil engineering, having gone back to school to earn it.

I am a current student at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am majoring in Computer Science. In my time in school, I've noticed that subjects that can be captivating and interesting are oftentimes disliked by students because they have had a bad experience with a teacher in that subject. I understand that some students learn differently, and I take it upon myself to make sure that my students' needs are met. It is my mission to make learning fun and enjoyable to students.

I am currently a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. Throughout high school, I challenged myself by taking all the Biology and Chemistry courses available. Similarly, in college, I have continued to study and acquire knowledge about subjects such as Biology and Chemistry.I have learned the art of teaching through various unique experiences such as on job training, explaining concepts to peers in a classroom setting, and teaching others dance routines. As a student myself, I know how beneficial it can be when other students and peers explain challenging topics or add on to what teachers and professors teach as it provides a new perspective on the information. This is something I hope to bring forth to other students. I also hope to create an environment in which students feel safe to ask any potential questions they may have!

I have been currently working as a professional tutor for a little over a year but I have been tutoring for a lot longer than that. I remember tutoring my kid sister for the past couple of years in subjects such as Algebra, History, Chemistry, etc. Finally, in her senior year of high school, I still cherish the moments when she asks for my help. Over the past couple of months I have been tutoring at a place in Allen and I love every moment of it. During the course of that time I have been able to establish a great relationship with all my kids. I love seeing their smiles when they tell me they were able to ace a test in school due to my help. Tutoring and mentoring kids is honestly the best job I have ever had.I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas where I am working on a BS Health Care Administration and Biology. I hope to eventually have a job coordinating departments within a health care clinic or even a hospital. I specialize mostly in on-level or pre-AP Biology and Chemistry as well as Algebra but feel confident teaching subjects such as History and AP Biology.I hold myself to a high standard and I will hold my students to the same standards I hold myself. I will not only try to teach the concepts, I will teach critical learning skills so my students can take the knowledge they acquired and apply it to other classes as they move through their school career.

During my career, I conducted and published biomedical research in well-known, peer-reviewed medical journals. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience in a plethora of subjects at all levels and ages. In addition, I have spent many years helping students prepare for standardized exams, such as the NCLEX, TEAS Exam, ACT, and ASVAB.During college, I ran a successful peer tutoring business to generate income for myself, but my tutoring career began much earlier than that--3rd grade, to be exact--when I stayed after school for an hour each day to teach math to deaf students, since I knew ASL.
