This is why I have obtained not only a Bachelor's degree in education, but I have obtained a Master's degree as well. I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Arlington working towards my Masters in Linguistics, which I intend to use to continue teaching English language at a private or public school. I am also employed as a reading comprehension and vocabulary teacher at the Nepali Cultural Center in Irving. I have traveled to 15 countries including Lebanon and the Czech Republic, and I love reading, coffee, shopping, tech gadgets, creative writing, and singing karaoke in my spare time.

I'm currently working towards my undergraduate degree in Mathematics while pursuing the pre-medicine track. After school, I plan to become a practicing physician in a non-surgical specialty--likely anesthesiology or radiology. I've previously worked with students from elementary to high school age on subjects in math, writing, and science. I also have teaching experience in speech-related coursework, music theory, and percussion and drum set performance.

I'm Alyssa! I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology (with Honors and a 4.0 GPA!). I am a current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Texas Woman's University, continuing my education in Kinesiology and related subjects.

I am a huge component of constant feedback. A session may be wasted if feedback is only provided in the last five minutes. For this reason, I would help students stay motivated by maintaining a conversation over the material and relating to other interesting aspects of their life.

I am most passionate about Photoshop, Graphic Design, Digital media, and Animation. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy singing which enriches my creativity, hiking, DIY Crafts, and playing softball.

I'm an undergraduate at UH-Clear Lake working on a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences. I've tutored for about two years now, including a year working at San Jacinto College's Math Center. It was a great experience because it was very busy and I got the chance to help dozens of students every day. However, I enjoy one-on-one tutoring the most because there is less pressure to help as many people as possible. Instead, I can focus on a single student for the entire session.
