I'm Alyssa! I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology (with Honors and a 4.0 GPA!). I am a current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Texas Woman's University, continuing my education in Kinesiology and related subjects.

I am not teaching, I like to train animals, have adventures, run trails, and write short stories. My vices include baked chips and sour punch straws. I am looking to begin tutoring as a true mentor, and not as a classmate. I have always excelled in and enjoyed the classroom setting. I scored a 34 composite on my ACT and 2120 on my SAT, and would be happy to help with the challenges of preparing for standardized tests, as well as regular subjects for school. Through the use of your or your child's textbook/test prep materials and problems that I assign for practice, I will make sure that you or your child is fully equipped for success!

I am strongly committed to bringing students to mastery. To accomplish this, I thought it was important that I am trained and educated extensively in this field. This is why I have obtained not only a Bachelor's degree in education, but I have obtained a Master's degree as well. I am a responsive and talented educator offering tutoring to middle school, high school, and undergraduate students in the Humanities. I am a certified teacher with nearly 15 years of classroom teaching and tutoring experience and a Master's in Secondary Education. My favorite subjects to tutor are World History, U.S. History, Reading, Writing, Literature, and Spanish I. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
