I'm starting my junior year at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I'm currently getting my degree in biology with a concentration in health and human disease, global health, and a minor in French. I love reading, traveling, learning and helping others learn! I have experience tutoring high school and elementary school students in math, science, and English and I love tutoring in each subject equally. Eventually, I see myself going to medical school and researching topics related to viral diseases which I've been interested in since a very young age. I'm very passionate about the subjects I teach and hope to pass my passion on to the individuals I tutor!

I am a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Honors with minors in Computer Science and Business. I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. Prior to University, I spent my spare time spreading environmental awareness to elementary students, coaching middle school basketball teams, and guiding nascent MathCounts and Science Olympiad programs. Since arriving at UT Austin, I have had the privilege of teaching a classroom of middle schoolers for a semester as part of the UTeach Outreach program. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and the college application process. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face. Outside of academia, I enjoy working out, hiking, playing sports with my friends, and showing people new songs!

I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I am currently a third-year student majoring in Biology and a part of the Health Science Scholars Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. I have experience tutoring high school and middle school students for the past couple of years in a variety of subjects and my favorite ones include sciences such as biology and chemistry, as well as ACT/SAT/PSAT test prep. I am a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and English Literature in 2014. Since graduation, I have served one year as a K-2 literacy tutor with A Community for Education, and this past year I worked as a kindergarten teacher at IDEA Public Schools. I will be beginning a Masters Program in Education this fall at the University of Texas at Austin with a certification in teaching 7-12th English. My goal as a professional is to unite my love of literature with my passion for social justice to become an inspirational and effective educator of underserved preteen and teenage students. I'm a current student at Smith College working towards my degree in Education & Child Studies and Theatre. I've been tutoring for many years and I have experience working with children of all ages and ability levels--from profoundly gifted students to students struggling with learning disabilities. I am a law student seeking to help fund my living expenses while I go to school. I'm a data science major with a focus on economics at the University of Rochester. I'm interested in tutoring students in mathematics and/or computer science, as I enjoy both subjects thoroughly, and think that a good understanding of those subjects is useful to anyone, no matter their interests. I also do tutoring for AP/IB exams, SAT, and ACT because I think it's critically important for people to get into the best college they can for as cheap as possible, and those exams are the basis of that.

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in UT Austin's American Studies department. I received my B.S. in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU and my M.A. in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon. As a lifelong student, I love to help others enjoy the process of learning and to see their hard work pay off! I'm currently teaching a writing course at UT with the theme, "Americans Abroad." Last year, I taught discussion sections for a UT American literature course, and previously I worked as a teaching assistant for classes on introductory academic writing, U.S. history, and American culture. I am a sophomore, English and Computer Science double major at Carleton College who is ecstatic about teaching and spreading my love of learning. I'm a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Hook 'em Horns!). I've been involved with teaching K-12 for 3 years now during my college career and have had a passion for teaching ever since my first job in high school at a math tutoring company. I scored well on both the SAT and the ACT thanks to many prep courses for the SAT and adequate prep materials for the ACT. In high school, my favorite subjects were by far Math, Biology and Spanish, and I made sure to apply my love for those subjects through studying Biomedical Engineering with a Spanish minor. I'm Atharva and I attend The University of Texas at Austin! I am currently majoring in computational engineering, which is essentially a mix of math, computer science, and aerospace engineering. I have worked as a math tutor for around 3 years, and I have seen students improve their scores significantly in their classes and standardized tests. I especially enjoy tutoring math since I strongly believe it can be very interesting if taught in an engaging way rather than straight out of a dull textbook. I am a University of Texas student pursuing a BSA in Mathematics, I am passionate about being a leader and a mentor, I love working with people! I was an orientation advisor for two summers, where I gave students support and advice when it came to class preparation and registration. I am a second-year graduate student in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work program at the University of Texas at Austin pursing a Masters in Social Work. I also attended UT-Austin for my undergraduate years, where I majored in psychology, minored in sociology, and received a creative writing certificate. I have worked at the University Writing Center at UT for the past year, where I tutor undergraduates in writing skills. I review papers in all subjects and of all types, including research papers, lab reports, persuasive essays, creative writing, and post-undergraduate school applications. I also worked with Communities in Schools at a Title I elementary school on writing, grammar, reading, and comprehension. Writing and English are my favorite subjects to tutor because I love to see the satisfaction on a student's face when they can finally take all of the puzzle pieces of ideas floating around in their head and put them in a tangible form. Getting those thoughts on paper proves to a student that their words are worth being read and heard. I worked with Crocs Footwear at their global headquarters as an account manager for five years in account management, before relocating to Austin, Texas, in 2011, when I began pursuing a career in education. I enjoy all of these subjects, but am particularly passionate about language arts.
