About Me

My name is Angela Hess. I live in Pennsylvania. I have a PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor's of Science in Microbiology from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been teaching in the Department of Biology (formally the Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences) at Bloomsburg University for 16 years. I love being a Professor! I regularly teach courses in anatomy and physiology and have been doing so for the last 17 years. I have also taught courses in general biology, human biology, medical terminology, cancer biology, and advanced cellular biology/physiology courses. I have extensive experience working with students using an online platform. I love working with students to help them master their course content and help them grow as a learner! I am a life long learner and enjoy sharing my passion for science with my students. Many of my students have gone on to medical school, physician assistant programs, other graduate and professional programs. I have taught thousands of students over the last 17 years and I love every minute of it!
