About Me

I received my Master of Arts in Mathematics from Indiana University, Bloomington, and my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Illinois, Urbana. I have 6 years of full-time, community college teaching experience, as well as extensive experience in tutoring, both online and in-person. I tutor mathematics exclusively, as I have always been very passionate about the subject. I am an enthusiastic tutor, always striving to help students master their course content and ultimately be successful in their coursework while enjoying the learning process; beyond that, I emphasize to my students the importance of the critical thinking and logical reasoning skills obtained from the study of mathematics, as well as the many applications of math and the inherent beauty of the subject. I strongly believe that education is crucial in order for society to advance, which is a large part of why I chose a career in education. In my spare time, I enjoy playing classical piano, taking in the natural beauty of the outdoors (particularly by riding my bicycle on nearby trails when the weather allows), and reading philosophical literature to gain insights into different worldviews.
