About Me

I am an RN with three years of experience in an acute care setting. I have a passion for the biological sciences and recently graduated with a Master's in Physiology at the University of Cincinnati. I tutor a variety of subjects including Nursing, Biology, and the MCAT. My favorite subject to tutor is the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) section of the MCAT.I enjoy tutoring because I love helping students succeed in their academic endeavors. I have also been tutoring at an elementary school and nothing gives me greater joy than watching my students "level up."I am a life-long learner and know what it feels like to struggle in classes. Throughout my time as a student, I have learned and implemented study strategies, schedules, and habits that have enabled me to succeed academically. I want to share my insights and work with students to help them excel. My approach is to identify areas where students want to improve and work to devise a plan that not only implements proven study techniques, but leverages students' unique strengths and learning styles. Because I believe that motivation for learning is half the battle, I work to instill confidence in my students and help them derive meaning and excitement from their time studying. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, playing the piano, and solving chess puzzles.
