I have been a classroom teacher since 2013. I received a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oakwood University. I developed a passion for math and English along the way. At the same time, I also started tutoring before and after school. First, to help students prepare for standardized tests, then to help those struggling with reading. I loved tutoring both subjects. I also quickly realized I preferred working with small groups. Seeing my students grow academically through tutoring is one of my proudest achievements. I teach/tutor so students can unlock doors to better opportunities they would miss out on otherwise. I desire to do my best to help students achieve their best. As a lifelong learner, I am pursuing a Masters in Education and learning to play guitar.

I am a lover of music, both instrumental and vocal. I sing, and I am learning the guitar. I also love languages and studying genealogies.
