I am a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus on European history and the history of religion. I am extremely passionate about history and writing, and I have enjoyed tutoring students in these subjects for over five years. I began my journey as an educator in 2017, when I taught lessons about human rights and the history of religion to high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area. I continued honing my educational skills at Carleton, where I worked as a tutor and mentor for students with learning differences. I used my deep knowledge of history and writing to help students proofread their essays, study for humanities courses, and teach them important executive functioning and study skills to help them succeed in college. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to form empathic and intentional connections with my students. By learning more about their educational backgrounds and understanding their goals, I become a better mentor who will more effectively guide them through their studies. When I am not tutoring, I like to hike, kayak, read, write, and research my family's history.
