I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Coaching. I received my Master's degree in Sports Management/Coaching. After graduation I spent 20 years coaching college basketball at small colleges in the Midwest. When I was offered a teaching position I jumped at the opportunity to do something I have always wanted to do. I consider myself a well rounded educator. During my teaching career I have taught grades 5-12th. I have also taught numerous subjects including US History, Government, Sociology, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Physical Education and Health. I also have achieved certifications in meditation, nutrition coach, and Social Emotional Learning. I enjoy collaborating with others in order to learn from each other. I have been involved in the Indiana Superintendent's teacher taskforce, Edmentum's Educator Summit, Edmentum's Dream Team, ISTE's Artificial Intelligence Cohort, and several work based learning cohorts. My goal in life is to help individuals get to where they want in life. I will use my experience and knowledge to help students achieve their desired goals.
