About Me

I am a graduate of the State University of New York College at New Paltz. In May 2020, I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Cellular and Molecular Biology. I also minored in Deaf Studies. Having been born and raised in Uganda and assimilated relatively quickly to a fast-paced culture of New York City, I knew I had to advocate for myself through various avenues to excel in my studies. The tutoring services through programs including the Education Opportunity Program (EOP), the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) and the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) have been instrumental to academic career. What better way to give back to these communities than become a teaching assistant in junior year and tutor during my senior year for General Chemistry I and II. I am passionate about Sciences especially Biochemistry, Chemistry and Math. Education is the key to a multitude of diversified opportunities as long as you're willing to learn and apply the skills. In this mindset, never be afraid to ask questions, even for the "obvious."For efficient use of the tutoring sessions, I request that you prepare your questions/topics of discussion ahead of time and share what approaches help you learn best if known. I endeavor to create a thriving learning environment and look forward to learning from you. In my spare time, l listen or read to life-enriching books, spend time with loved ones and go on adventures.
