About Me

Hi, I'm Aba! I've spent over a decade teaching many different English language and literature classes in the U.S. and abroad (IB English Language and Literature, ESL, and British and American Lit, to name a few). It's been an absolute privilege to teach students from a variety of countries, backgrounds, and experiences. I've loved reading since childhood, and if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Not only am I blown away by Tolkien's expansive imagination, I'm encouraged by the wisdom and perseverance of ordinary and extraordinary characters rising to the challenge of their world and doing "what they can for the succor of their time!" When I'm not teaching, I enjoy walking with my dog Winnie, journaling, and travelling. I've visited 13 different countries on 4 different continents so far! I look forward to learning about YOUR interests and helping you in your English classes! See you in the classroom!
