I have been teaching for 25 years in NYC Public Schools. I have also taught Spanish as a Dual Language Teacher. I love being a teacher because I also learn from my students how to be a better teacher and engage them. I am passionate about teaching students to read, because once you can read you can learn anything. I always tell students one of my favorite quotes: "Everything is hard when you don't know how to do it and easy once you learn how."

I love to read, sew, cook, and garden. I love learning new things. My favorite thing in the whole world, is when a student finally learns how to do something and they light up like a lightbulb. That is priceless to me.
