Claire

About Me
After graduation, I worked as staff writer at a local newspaper in Wooster, Ohio for three years. Then, I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working to coordinate and support a grassroots mentorship program for middle and high schoolers. Currently, I am in the process of preparing to apply for graduate school to pursue a doctorate in psychology. I tutor reading and writing from elementary to high school as well as ACT English and essay revision. Writing is my favorite subject to tutor because I get to witness the evolution that takes place as one's craft improves. I would describe my tutoring style as catering to the unique needs of each individual and my teaching philosophy to is to create a safe space where learning will be possible.
Hobbies & Interests
I'm interested in psychology, nature/plants, and dogs. I enjoy running, yoga, painting, reading, hiking, and listening to podcasts in my free time.
