I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2018 as an Honors English major in the creative writing track with minors in French and art history. I'm passionate about giving my students the skills they need to tell their own stories in the ways they want to tell them. I have years of writing experience in workshop classes and literary reviews, in addition to my volunteer experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL). In college, I volunteered at my university's international student conversation practicum. When I got to Boston, I completed a month-long training to teach English at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center. My teaching style is focused on empathy and communication, while always finding ways to have fun.

I love to cook--I live for the NYT Cooking app! I will cook anything by Yewande Komolafe. Movies are a big part of my life and I can't wait for IFF Boston's Fall Focus. I'm also a devoted RuPaul's Drag Race fan and can't get enough of all the spinoffs.
