About Me

I am a college English professor in Nashville, TN (and former professional musician) with over 25 years of experience in both areas. I currently teach courses in writing (both expository and creative), poetry and drama, cinema studies, and world literature. I also lead ACT prep courses for high school students every summer and give private guitar lessons. I foster a warm, friendly, student-centered learning environment that is positive, encouraging, and offers emotional security. My style is best described as kind, respectful, and upbeat.
