I also completed my Bachelor's Degree as an Intervention Specialist K-12 and completed an additonal certification making me a Reading Specialist. I am also Orton-Gillingham certified (Course 1).I have always had a passion to teach reading since I was young, from teaching my brother how to read, to helping adults with disabilites make academic, social, and functional growth through college. After undergrad, I moved to Asia where I taught in the slums of India, orphanages in Thailand, and at an International school where I taught students K-6 from over 26 countries. I helped develop an entire Special Eduation reading curriculum from scratch and started a school among the street children I lived by. Since then, I have taught in the United States as a Reading and Intervention Specialist where I have seen several students no longer require special education after my services. I have 6 years of teaching experience. My lifelong passion is to teach students how to read effectively, and feel loved and encouraged. I strategically plan lessons to help students see the greatest level of success in all areas.
