Topics included English literature, writing, and reading. For Middle School topics included social studies and language arts. For High School it was literature, reading and grammar. And for College it was tutoring students in a variety of majors. Washington State University provided a Master's in teaching adults. Those teaching experiences have been the best of all worlds and the worst. The best experience for a teacher or tutor is being granted the opportunity to help a person grow in his/her skills. Observing the growth in confidence cannot be beat as a best experience for any tutor. The worst experience for a tutor or teacher is watching a student struggle, but refuse help. If you are asking for help you deserve an award. My job as a tutor is to tackle with you that pesky topic that is presenting problems. And did I mention have a good time?
