About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at Texas Tech University majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. I hold a Nevada CTE teaching license in FCS. I have many years of experience as a substitute teacher, working in the retail industry, and developing academic skills. I am passionate about helping students understand information, develop critical thinking skills, and improving deficient areas. I am a huge proponent of life-long learning as opposed to just mastery learning. Through the educational journey, it's important to understand how you "will use this later in life".
