About Me

I am most passionate about reading intervention and teaching the Orton-Gillingham method. In fact, I recently completed training necessary to qualify as a Dyslexia Specialist in Indiana. The most rewarding things about being a teacher is seeing my students have that "AHA!" moment and grow in confidence during our time together. My philosophy when working with students is that learning should be fun, meaningful and engaging and something that sparks their interest in becoming lifelong learners. In my free time, I enjoy reading (especially mysteries), watching movies, spending time with my family and friends and learning new things that will help me to grow both personally and professionally.
