I would love to help you enhance your abilities in English, literature, critical thinking and comprehension, rhetoric, writing, and research! I am interested in lifespan writing and can apply writing activities and instruction to different learning contexts. Teaching college affords me with online learning experience both as a professor and now, as a student and GTA. I know how to connect with students in and outside of the classroom. Collaborative and student-centered are two qualities that make up my pedagogy. I am happy adapt lessons and activities on-the-fly to better accommodate tuttee's,and understand that individual's have different learning needs. My academic background is in English, literature, American Studies, and rhetoric and composition. I've studied and written about critical theory, writing theory, transfer theory, pedagogical theory . My research interests are in foodways, food and culture, first-year writing, multimodal writing and online folk communities, American western literature, feminism, and folklore. In my free time I love to cook and clean (really!) and organize. Friends ask me to help all of the time :) I love to hike and explore national parks and forests with my partner, Jeff. We walk daily with our two dogs. Jeff leaves me to chill with the cat, Jack, when I need a scary movie fix. I'm a virgo, my favorite color is blue, and I'm a fan of Lake Erie.
