I am currently applying to medical school, and hope to enroll in the Fall of 2018. As a student at the University of Texas, I was a teaching assistant for the Universitys introduction to Psychology course, and led study sessions for upper-level science courses such as Cell Biology and Neural systems. I enjoy being able to help others understand difficult concepts that they may encounter in the classroom, and turn confusion into excitement about the content they're learning. Outside of academia, I am a very active person. I enjoy hiking, running, lifting weights, and swimming when I get a chance. In fact, I got a chance to compete at the USA Weightlifting Collegiate National Championships in 2016! I am also interested in cooking and experimenting with different recipes to see what might work and what might not.
