In my tutoring sessions, I emphasize foundational concepts and principles, and achieve growth through consistent practice and overcoming misconceptions and unhelpful habits. While preparing for standardized tests, I help students feel confident about the knowledge on which they will be examined. I understand that these important tests can be stressful experiences for many people, so I also work with students to develop strategies to overcome any anxiety that might get in the way of a student not demonstrating his or her full potential. I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, but I find it especially rewarding to guide students in taking ownership over their writing as they find greater self-expression and explore complex ideas with more depth and clarity.

Outside of tutoring, I spend my time acting, playing jazz piano, and reading.
