About Me

I am a Spanish elementary school teacher for grades K-5th. Before teaching, I was a Spanish elementary teacher assistant, summer camp instructor, and high school tutor. While most of my experience teaching is with elementary school students, my tutoring experience is with high school students. I have tutored many subjects: Algebra 1, Spanish 1, ELL, High School English, High School History, and Time Management and Organizational skills. I enjoy tutoring Algebra 1, organizational skills, and Spanish because math is one of my favorite subjects growing up, I think organization is one of the keys to a successful school career, and I love the Spanish language. My teaching philosophy is that I believe to be a teacher who strives to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that cultivates mindful and motivated students, who are prepared and empowered for success in the future of tomorrow. My interests outside of teaching include: reading, scrapbooking, traveling, photography, the arts, yoga, listening to music and watching movies. I have a great passion for helping students succeed and instilling a growth mindset. I'm full of energy, excitement and always ready to tackle the day, which goes hand in hand with my go-getter attitude. I have lots of experience working with children of all ages.
